We recently sat down to discuss some of the important progress Aphelion Aerospace has been making.
I am excited to give you the Quarter 3 2021 updates on our company’s traction and progress as we move forward toward developing our nanosatellite launch system and services.
Aphelion’s New Location and Advisor
We’ve recently gone through the process of relocating the company from New Jersey to our new headquarters in Denver.
We’ve been busy outfitting the facility with tooling, hardware, and equipment. We’ve also been expanding our team with new engineers and administrative staff.
In addition to establishing our new headquarters in Colorado, we’re also excited to announce that Edward Mango has joined our team as an advisor.
Mr. Mango is the former Program Manager for NASA’s Commercial Crew program. If you watched the SpaceX Commercial Crew Dragon missions to ISS, that was the program he managed down at Kennedy Space Center.
Engineering Updates
We have been making some tremendous progress on the engineering side of Aphelion Aerospace.
Right now, we’re having our engine hardware fabricated at our partner company next door. We also have our panel assembly injector and our engine flange completed.
We are currently working on finalizing the build and actually getting the engine together, and in the upcoming months we are going to finish up with our engine fabrication.
New Test Site Facility and Test Stand
We’ve recently been making trips up to our test site facility, which is located in Chugwater, Wyoming, at our partner Frontier Astronautics.

The Aphelion team has been up there collaborating with them, seeing how we’re going to set up our test equipment and our whole test stand.
Our test stand assembly has been coming together here in our facility, and we were able to bring some of the components that were needed here.
We’re performing valve checkouts and building out our plumbing systems, while fabricating our tanks for this upcoming test in Wyoming.
Right now, our data acquisition system has been set up and we’re just running the wiring to where it needs to go to be able to actuate our whole system.
